TheatreWorks of Northern Nevada Presents Rick JohnstonÕs

Cahoots

TheatreWorks kicks off their 2010 theatre season with this hilarious high-speed comedy, Cahoots, set in a midtown Manhattan high-rise apartment.  A dinner party is suddenly derailed because of an ÒaccidentalÓ death of one of the guests.  Subsequently, a plan needs to be hatched and implemented, by all concerned parties, to cover up this tragedy.  As more pitfalls are encountered, character flaws and personal revelations come to light.

Filled with witty dialogue and hilarious one-liners, the play manages to maintain a farcical unreality while demonstrating that things usually do get worse before they get better—and that the vaunted dangers of street crime can pale beside the outrageous mayhem that can ensue when four "good friends" get together for a quiet dinner.

Cahoots is a comedy for more-mature audiences, ages 13 - adult. While the story is comedic, it contains strong language and violence which may not be suitable for younger audience members.

Cahoots received its world premiere at The Mill Dinner Theatre at Sonning, England, in June 1986.
